Here is a short recap of things that have happened in the final preparations for touring with our operas.
Me playing the maestra delle novizzie to the two novices on my left. (Your right.)
Tech week has been crazy busy!! Dress rehearsals for all the shows and additional rehearsals throughout the evening make me fall into bed with a deep sense of gratitude for rest. The picture above is the preparation for the run through with the orchestra for "Lucia di Lammermoor". We are lucky to have Maestro Joseph Rescigno conducting our musicians.
The town sporting some signage for our programs.
The guy who makes sure we are amplified and lit up for our performances, Eric Appleton.
On a very personal note, I feel very blessed to be here working in this program, getting some hands on experience with some amazing professionals. I hope that my brain somehow retains all the things I have learned in such a short period of time.
I am so very grateful for the encouragement and expertise of Serena Kanig Benish, Dr. Tyler Nelson, John Sargeant and the administrators, faculty and staff at UVU who made me believe that I could progress in this program.
And my amazing family... This experience would be wasted without your love and prayers. I love you all!!
